About the Honorees:

A long-time champion for NYC’s green spaces, Ed has played an essential role in the preservation and improvement of parks across our entire city in both his private and public sector roles. Under Ed's leadership, Citi contributes both financial support and volunteers who devote thousands of hours to park stewardship every year. Thanks to their efforts, Governors Island is greener, healthier, and more welcoming for its 1 million annual visitors.

The New York Community Trust


Over the past two decades, The New York Community Trust has helped spur Governors Island’s transformation from an abandoned military base to a treasured civic resource. Beginning with seed grants for advocacy and planning, through its most recent support of the Center for Climate Solutions, the New York Community Trust has had an enormous impact on the island's successful transformation.
